Last minute escapade

Friday Night when I got home, I talked to Robert on the phone for a long time. He was asking me what I had planned for the weekend. I really didnt have anything scheduled... I was just going to watch Madea Goes to Jail with my sisters.

Well he said that he really wanted to see me and so I decided to take a last minute escapade to Prairie View, TX to see him. I left early Saturday morning and headed towards Houston. Well, the drive is no problem to me now I have probably driven that route a hundred times.

Well it turns out that I was really glad that I decided to go see him. We had some interesting conversation about the future and I could tell that he really wanted me to be there.
I enjoyed being in his presence and I wonder what the future holds..........

A Taste of Africa

Today was a long day at work. The students seem to be extremely excited or hyper for some odd reason. Well when I left work I had a headache out of this world. So for the first time in a long time I decided I need a afternoon nap. An hour and an advil later I was feeling fine. I awoke just in time to attend my mom's fashion show.

Every year my mom is in the Black History Month fashion show. She loves doing this so I make sure I go and show her support. Even though I think that some of the people that are sponsor the event are extreme. I mean....... I understand having cultural unity but GOSH some people take things a little too far.

I also tried African food at the event for the first time. I must say that I didnt enjoy it one bit. But hey I can say that I tried it lol.

I'm new to this!

Well were to I begin, I am new to this blogging thing but I wanted to give it a shot. I am embarking on several new phrases in my life currently and I need to record my experiences somewhere. Well 1st, I have been able to recently explore the idea of doing my favorite hobbie for other people. I absolutely love taking photos. I beleive that photography captures life every moment. I believe that the art of photography is precious because it allows you to capture time and freeze it in that moment forever. I love taking pics of people in the natural setting and in candid moments. I think a pic can be worth a thousand words.
